A director of a number of public and private companies including R K Carvill (International Holdings) Ltd and Jet Press Holdings BV, Sir Michael was formerly Chairman of ICL plc, Chloride Group plc, Dunlop Holdings plc, Mercury Communications Ltd and British Leyland. He has served as a member of the CBI's President's Committee, is a founder member of the Queen's Award for Industry Review Committee and a Vice-Chairman of the British Institute of Management. Sir Michael has also served as President of Comité des Constructeurs d'Automobiles du Marché Commun, the European Advisory Council Board and Rockwell International.
Founder and former Chief Executive and latterly Executive Chairman of the original Strand Partners Limited (now Strand Hanson Limited). Richard Fenhalls has also held senior positions in the Banking industry as Chief Executive of Henry Ansbacher Holdings Plc and Executive Chairman of Henry Ansbacher & Co Ltd. Prior to this Richard was Deputy Chairman of Guinness Mahon Holdings Ltd, Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive of Guinness Mahon & Co Ltd, and a Director of Guinness Peat Group plc. He was a Senior Vice President of American Express International Banking Corporation in charge of merchant banking world wide. Prior to this, a Senior Vice President of Marine Midland Bank with Citicorp Leasing International Inc and a practising attorney in South Africa.
James Thornton started his investment banking career at Morgan Stanley from 1990 to 1995. He was subsequently Head of Finance at BAT Industries PLC, where he managed the demerger of its financial services interests and their merger with Zurich Financial Services. He was Deputy Group and UK Finance Director at Old Mutual PLC from the time of its listing, and also for a time Vice Chairman of its UK wealth management subsidiary Gerrard PLC, and a Director of Old Mutual Asset Management and Old Mutual Securities. Since then he has led the turnaround of IFX's Foreign Exchange Division prior to IFX PLC's sale and was most recently a Director of Global Health Partner PLC. He is a Chartered Accountant and a Harvard MBA.
Victoria Milne-Taylor graduated from the University of Leeds with a BA in Accounting and Law. After her degree, she trained for three years in Corporate Finance. She joined Strand Partners Limited in June 2009 and has been involved in the execution of a series of highly complex successful transactions for clients ranging from resolution of disputes, takeovers, mergers and managing a very substantial public offering for a client. These transactions although executed in the United Kingdom, have involved a number of foreign jurisdictions.
